As part of Contract CITYW-CUCF-01-09, Task Order No. 2, Epic was selected to provide CM/Build Services for the gut renovation of existing facilities for re-use as an Autism testing center with related office spaces in the NYC landmarked Thomas Hunter Hall. The project involved the construction of spaces to accommodate two child testing suites; one for infants and toddlers and the second for elementary aged children, an adult testing space, one student workspace and two private offices. An existing restroom located in the public corridor was also renovated to accommodate families.
The project was planned and coordinated during the heavily occupied and active semester programs at Hunter College and was successfully completed with a five-month construction duration, no loss time injuries or incidents and less than 5% change orders.
