Project scope: Epic Interiors worked with Epic Management on the construction of Natirar, a 411-acre property in the scenic hills of Somerset County, New Jersey. The property spans the municipalities of Peapack/Gladstone, Far Hills, and Bedminster. Originally, the Ladd Family built a 40-room Tudor-style mansion on the estate in 1912. In 1983, King Hassan II of Morocco purchased the property. After his death in 1999, his son, Mohammed VI, inherited Natirar. In 2003, Somerset County purchased the estate from Mohammed VI. Soon after, the county leased the mansion, outbuildings, and 90 acres for the development of a world-class spa and retreat facility.
Epic Interiors contributed to multiple phases of restoring and renovating existing spaces. This included the creation of new facilities, such as Ninety Acres. Ninety Acres features a 12-acre sustainable farm, a state-of-the-art cooking school, and a world-renowned restaurant. Set in the original mansion’s carriage house and garage, the open floor plan allows each dining area to flow into the next. The design carries a theme of refined rustic elegance throughout. These areas include a main bar, main dining area, cognac lounge, outdoor dining, private dining room, wine cellar, and cooking school.
