Epic Interiors’ role: Subcontractor

Project highlights: Two River Center is an intimate, upscale 300-seat theater. It has hosted off-Broadway plays and a Bruce Springsteen acoustic concert for HBO. The theater offers a playhouse atmosphere with a living room feel.

Epic Interiors furnished and installed the timber columns, beams, and roof planking. The wave effect required close coordination with other trades. The interior masonry walls had notches for the timber beams. These walls were installed months before the beams arrived on site.

The grand lobby and arcade are the most striking features. The architect wanted to bring the Jersey Shore theme into the theater. He designed a stunning wood timber column/beam and glass lobby. The combination of these elements created a wave-shaped roofline.
